A New Year full of promise
Welcome to our Jolabokaflod countdown to the climax of the Book Bulletin crowdfunding project on 14 February 2017, including our luxury Gala party at the world-famous Hotel Café Royal, to ensure that we can make this year’s Jolabokaflod Book Campaign reach even more people around the world with a full programme of events and projects.
This online New Year resolution calendar works in a similar way as traditional, printed Advent versions. Instead of each of 24 windows remaining unopened until the appointed date in December arrives, this Jolabokaflod version has links to page that will only be filled with New Year- and January-related goodies on the appropriate day in the calendar.
Published one day at a time during the month of January 2017, each successive day will reveal ‘Book of the Day’ recommendations behind each link as well as jokes, pictures and fabulous facts about books, reading, Iceland and New Year resolutions.
Day by day during January, work your way down the champagne flute of link dates until you have covered every part of the picture.
